I totally hear you about the change of seasons... It is fall for me; days are getting shorter and I can feel the changes in my mood and energy overall.
I am looking forward to trying to combat it with good ol' romanticizing the small things.
I totally agree - the seasons really do guide us. I love how each one brings its own feeling, even if some are more challenging than others. Romanticising the small things in autumn is exactly the way to go. I hope the weather stays kind where you are and that you get to enjoy some lovely moments in nature <3
I do love this format! :) Also I watch your YouTube videos and it's nice to see / read it both ways? Your content is calming and inspiring so thank you for sharing it with us!
Thank you so much, Tania! So happy to hear you’re enjoying the format – sounds like it’s officially here to stay for next month :) I love that the vlogs and Substack entries complement each other too; it feels like a more complete way of sharing. I really appreciate your kind words thank you xx
Love the new format! Also the note about new friends—I’m doing a big international move at the end of the year so I definitely have some anxieties about making new friends but at the same time I can’t wait to make those new connections that just feel right 🫶🏼 thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Angel! So glad you’re enjoying the new format 😊 I completely understand those anxieties—it’s such a big change! From my experience living in a few different countries, friendships made abroad often end up being the most meaningful. Wishing you all the best for your move when the time comes <3
I'm really liked the new format! I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the Belgium vlog, and I really hope you get to visit Belgium before the end of the year—maybe we’ll even cross paths there, who knows :) Since I live in Istanbul, I buy coffee beans from the local roasters here. But I wanted to share some of my favorite coffee spots I’ve discovered while traveling in Europe. It might be easier for you to check them out. I love The Barn, Dak Coffee Roasters, and of course, Coffee Collective. I hope your spring is filled with inspiration and, of course, lots of coffee!
Thank you! It’s so motivating to see everyone enjoying the new format. To be fair, the coffee in Istanbul must be incredible, so no wonder you have your go-to local roasters! Speaking of crossing paths, I’ve yet to visit Istanbul as well, so let’s definitely keep each other in the loop if plans start shaping up. I also knew I could count on you for great coffee recommendations! I’ll be saving these for when my stock is running low haha ☕
I really like the new format! Perfect reading material as I’m having a coffee at haymarket before I leave Edinburg :) and my favourite flower is a tulip, just not the yellow ones…
Thank you! Hope you had a lovely time in Edinburgh. Tulips are a crowd favourite, and for good reason. They’re in my top three, too. I don’t tend to go for yellow ones either, there are just so many other gorgeous shades! If I want yellow flowers, I usually go for daffodils instead. I'm curious, though, what is it about the yellow ones you don’t like? haha
Haha I don’t know exactly why but I actively dislike them, like I really find them ugly which is weird because every other colour tulip is like the most beautiful thing to me. Maybe it’s the green/yellow combination that just feels off? I’m not sure… I’ll have a think and get back to you! But now I’m curious: What are your top three flowers?
This made me laugh so much! I love how you actively dislike them. It’s hilarious. As for my top 3, they’re not exactly groundbreaking. The first one is probably predictable: peonies. I’m already looking forward to May when they’re back in season. Next up, ranunculus. Maybe because they remind me of peonies, but with the bonus of coming in so many different colors, offering more options. And finally, tulips. A classic, but they really never disappoint, and I always look forward to their return.
I really love this format! so comprehensive.

Enjoy the spring and the longer days! :)

Love the new format! My favourite flower is the peony – love its defiantly blousy bloom.
Peonies are my favourite too! not long to wait now <3

Hahah I’m glad i made you laugh! My number 2 are also ranunculus! And then lilies but I also love peonies, just all the flowers really 💐
Exactly! 💖
