I’d love to hear what you think of Taiwan Travelogue when you get to it! I was already curious about The Wax Child, but your review last year really pushed me to request it from the library, and now I’m very tempted to get my own copy 🤭
Some really interesting books here Amandine. The Wax Child was longlisted for the Booker, I believe. Taiwan Travelogue sounds really interesting. I read Intermezzo last year and liked it but thought it could have been condensed further. In May I especially loved books by Han Kang, Elif Shafak and Deborah Levy. Will post a review article in a couple of weeks.

I enjoyed reading your piece! I wish I could write a medium-length text for books like you do. I usually end up writing either nothing at all or a five-page epic… there is no in-between. You are such a role model for this!

Ahhhhh but honestly, being able to condense all those thoughts into just a few perfect paragraphs is an art form. You do a fantastic job in general!
