The timing of this post could not have been more fitting!

I was reading it today on my balcony, while sipping coffee and all I can say is; what a MOOD! <3

I'm gonna draw some inspiration from you and curate my own list of "ins & outs", I think that could be fun :)

Also, I saw that you have "Greek Lessons" by Han Kang on your reading list and I'm really looking forward to your thoughts/reflections on it. So far it has been my favourite book of 2025!

I love how I can picture that scene, it sounds perfect <3 An ins and outs list is such a fun way to reflect on a season and decide what to carry with us and what to leave behind. I highly recommend it.

I’m so excited to read Greek Lessons (Han Kang is probably one of my favourite authors) and even more so now knowing it’s been your favourite book of the year so far! I still have The Vegetarian waiting for me, maybe for winter.

“Greek Lessons” was my first Han Kang experience so I didn’t really know what to expect of it. To be fair I thought it’s gonna be a Haruki Murakami “Sputnik Sweetheart” and instead it turned out to be Sayaka Murata combined with Kazuo Ishiguro 😅. Which is 100% fine, since after reading “We Do Not Part” I realized that nobody writes like Kang. She quickly rose to my favorites! It’s just that I would’ve needed a trigger warning or two, but now I know what to expect. I would love to read “Human Acts” and “The White Book” but I’m a bit traumatized by the blurb and other peoples reviews of them 😅 We will see, I always need a bit of time to process her stories. They really cut deep and cling to you in a weird way I can’t explain.

I feel the same, Han Kang’s writing is so unique. She weaves magical realism into historical fiction like a seamstress, while giving space to reflect deeply. Human Acts was the first one I read and remains my favourite. I’d say take it slowly and in the right mood, as it crunched my heart into pieces and then gently put it back together.

I loved and needed this post, Autumn coming in makes me so anxious and I'd love to learn to embrace each season!

Totally get it! My SAD usually hits later in winter when I can’t see spring coming, but creating a list of things you enjoy, a moodboard, or even indulging in seasonal food can make the season feel gentler. It really helps to ease into autumn slowly :)

I have been in my hometown in Greece for September and I realised that everyone is welcoming autumn while I’m still in denial. Now I’m back in cold Germany and I don’t have anything prepared and maybe what I need to do is this mood board to even start with 🫣

It’s so funny how the seasons shift differently around the globe! This will definitely be me in March, when everyone in Europe is ready for spring and Edinburgh is still in denial (not me haha). Creating a moodboard sounds perfect, it’s such a fun way to ease into the season 🧡

Such vibes!! 🍁 This has really gotten me excited for autumn 🍂 So delighted to see Joan Didion and Toni Morrison on the same reading list—two of my faves, and Beloved and Slouching Towards Bethlehem were so impactful (the latter I read by happenstance after moving abroad which gave me some strange nostalgia for my native California amidst all the disillusionment, would love to know thoughts once you get the chance to read it!)

Now I’m even more excited to read both! Beloved feels like a pillar, and I can’t wait to see how Slouching Towards Bethlehem resonates with me too :)
